The Area

A lovely house with private garden, tucked away in a peaceful corner of Pear Tree Court. Aldwark has been voted one of the nicest areas of the city centre.
 

You can truly immerse yourself in everything York has to offer, from watching magnificent live street performances at King's Square to strolling along York's most talked about street, the Shambles.
 

Enjoy a leisurely stroll around York’s medieval city walls before stopping off at the famous Betty’s cafe & tearooms. 

It's a lovely stroll into the city centre, and in just 5-10 minutes you can be at some of the biggest attractions, York Minster, Shambles, York's Chocolate Story.

As you can see from the red marker below, this house is located just inside the York City walls.

Guest Access

Pear Tree Holiday Home is a self-catering, self check-in property.
 

On the day off arrival, guests can check-in anytime between 3:00pm and 9:00pm. Check-out is until 10:00am. Earlier or later check-in and check-out times may be possible during the booking process at additional cost.


Guests will enter using a door code. We set unique codes for every guest.


Detailed check-in instructions will be sent within 12 hours of paying the booking deposit.
 

There is a wheelie bin in the house's private garden, please put your rubbish in this bin before check-out. For any recycling, please leave it in a separate bin bag, this will be sorted by a member of staff at the local tip on James Street, York.

House Rules

We would like every guest to thoroughly enjoy their stay so please treat the accommodation as you would in your own home. 

Sorry but we do not allow all male groups, stag/hen parties or events. Lead guests must be aged 18 or over.

There is a strict no smoking policy in this house. You may smoke in the garden, but please ensure doors and windows are shut so that no smoke enters the house.


Sorry, we do not accept pets. This accommodation is hypoallergenic.

Payment Schedule

A 25% deposit is required to place a reservation with the remaining balance due at least 30 days prior to arrival.
Payment is required in full when the arrival date is within 30 days.

Debit/Credit card payments are processed by 'Holiday Rent Payment' a payment platform powered by the YapStone which is used by over 100,000 holiday rental properties across Europe, Canada and the United States.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £100 is held on your card 2 days prior to arrival. An inspection of the property is carried out on the day of check-out. Any claims will be made within 7 days of departure. The funds will automatically release within 7 days, but in some unlikely cases may be held up to 21 days after departure, this depends on the guests bank.

Cancellation Policy

If the reservation is cancelled up until 30 days of arrival, 25% of the reservation will be charged.

 

If the reservation is cancelled within 30 days of arrival 90% of the reservation will be charged.
