01 Hunter house is only a short walk to York's biggest attractions York's biggest attractions, such as the Shambles, York Minster, Clifford's Tower, Jorvik Viking Centre and much more.
Spend a few minutes to appreciate the incredible craftsmanship at York Minster, such as the gargoyles and stained glass. Fun fact, the east window was created by John Thornton in the early 15th Century for only £66. The Great West Window is known as the heart of Yorkshire.
Goodramgate is one of the most picturesque streets in York, you can imagine the history in every step. Medieval buildings can be seen from the apartment itself, Our Lady's Row for example, which dates back as far as 1316. It's the oldest row of houses remaining in the city.
You'll love gazing at the architecture as you wonder around the city centre. If I could give visitors one word of advice, it would be to remember to look up!
Enjoy a leisurely stroll around York’s medieval city walls before stopping off at the famous Betty’s cafe & tearooms. York has something for all ages and walks of life.
There is a nearby grocery store with ATM and plenty of great restaurants, cafe's and pubs along the street.
You'll also find a large city centre map in the apartment, pin-pointing key tourist locations alongside dozens of tourist leaflets to help you make the most of your stay in York.

The Old white swan pub, lovely setting and just a 1 minute walk from the apartment, it's well known for a great English breakfast, well priced and adequately portioned food.
As for restaurants, Goodramgate has everything covered within a 100 metre radius. From Drakes Fish & Chips to Wagamama - an Asian food based on Japanese cuisine. Across the road from the apartment is Bombay Spice - winners of the best curry house in England 2016 award. Just Left of this is Happy Valley, a top rated Chinese restaurant in York.
Looking for something more unusual? Turn left out of the apartment and you'll find a Nepalese restaurant - the Yak and Yeti.
Continue further along Goodramgate and you'll come across two great Italians, Caesar's and La Piazza, either would be a fine choice. At the far end of Goodramgate near Monk Bar, there's an eatery named Little Italy, a personal favourite of mine which offers a gourmet cuisine and a downstairs deli.
As far as self-catering goes, the location is absolute perfection, and if you prefer to cook your own meals, then the apartment offers a fully equipped kitchen.

A 25% deposit is required to place a reservation with the remaining balance due at least 30 days prior to arrival.
Payment is required in full when the arrival date is within 30 days.
Debit/Credit card payments are processed by 'Holiday Rent Payment' a payment platform powered by the YapStone which 100,000 holiday rental properties across Europe, Canada and the United States.
A security deposit of £100 is locked on your card 2 days prior to arrival. An inspection of the property is carried out on the day of check-out. Any claims will be made within 7 days of departure. The funds will automatically release within 7 days, but in some unlikely cases may be held up to 21 days after departure, this depends on the guests bank.
If the reservation is cancelled up until 30 days of arrival, 25% of the reservation will be charged.
If the reservation is cancelled within 30 days of arrival 90% of the reservation will be charged.
